AI Pro update: July 2026

Find out what’s new in Workspace with AI Pro for Education.

Gemini in Google Slides can now build a complete, fully editable presentation from a single prompt, spreadsheet building with Gemini expands to 28 more languages, and Drive’s Gemini tools arrive on mobile.

These features require a Google AI Pro for Education licence.

Google Slides

Generate complete presentations with Gemini

You can now ask Gemini in Google Slides to build a full, multi-slide presentation from a single prompt. Add reference files from Drive to ground the content in your own material, and attach an existing deck as a style reference so the result matches your preferred look. Gemini asks follow-up questions to refine the tone, content, and audience, and shows you an outline to edit and approve before any slides are created. The finished slides are fully editable, so you can adjust anything afterwards.

Note

This feature is rolling out gradually and may not yet be visible to all users. It is currently available in English only.

Google Sheets

Fix formula errors in one click

When a formula shows an error, Gemini can now analyse the surrounding data, explain what’s gone wrong in plain terms, and offer a corrected version of the formula to apply in one click. It works on everything from basic arithmetic to complex calculations.

Build spreadsheets in 28 more languages

Building and editing spreadsheets with Gemini—covered in May’s update—now works in 28 additional languages, including Spanish, French, German, Polish, Arabic, and Ukrainian. You can prompt Gemini in your preferred language and it will build tables, formulas, pivot tables, and charts just as it does in English.

Ask Gemini and AI Overviews on mobile

Two of Drive’s Gemini tools are now available in the Drive apps for Android and iOS. Ask Gemini in Drive brings its focused, multi-turn conversations about your files and folders to mobile, with your past chats saved so you can pick up where you left off. AI Overviews now appear at the top of Drive search results on mobile too, summarising information from across your files without you needing to open each one.
