Whether you’re a Canva regular or someone who’s been curious about trying it for lesson materials, presentations, or other visual content, we have good news.
Canva is now streamlined for Outwood students and employees—sign in with your school Google account and you’re ready to go with full Pro access. No need to verify your education status or create an account!
With Canva Education, Outwood students and employees have Canva’s Pro features, and access to tons of education content and templates. You also have Canva Magic (AI), although not all Magic is available to students. Each school has its own self-contained Team.
If you already had a Canva account on your Outwood email address, your existing content is in your Personal team.
Click on your profile picture in the bottom-left corner to switch teams.

- Through the “Google apps” menu (9 dots) in the top right corner of any Google website.

Frequently Asked Questions
Q: Do students have access to everything staff can do? A: Outwood students have access to most Canva features but with some limitations for safety and educational focus:
- Students can only access two AI features: Magic Media and Dream Lab
- Students can only use pre-approved apps. Those include: Character Builder, Google Drive, Google Maps, Magic Morph, QR Code, Equations, Emoji, and Mockups.
Q: What happens to my existing Canva designs? A: They remain in your Personal team. You can access them by switching teams—click on your profile picture in the bottom-left corner.
Q: Do I need to create a new account? A: No, simply sign in with your school Google account and you’ll be automatically added to your school’s team.
